Tai Chi Class Timetable

Monday 4.30-5.30 Beginner’s

Monday 5.30-6.30 Advanced

Tai Chi classes are held at Whangaparaoa Hall, Whangaparaoa Road, Whangaparaoa

What you need to bring to Tai Chi Class

You will need soft, flexible shoes and loose clothing that allows you to move. Bring some water to drink and a sweat towel if you wish.

Arkles Bay

General Hatha class @  Club Physical Coast , Coast Plaza, Manly, Whangaparaoa

$20 casual, 10 pass $149.99 or free if you are a member of Club Physical.

What you need to bring to Yoga Class:

You will need to bring a Yoga mat, sweat towel, water bottle and a cushion or blanket if you need these. Wear loose or stretchy clothing (like you would wear for a fitness class) We have a few mats to hire at $5 per mat but recommend you bring your own for hygiene reasons.

Pricing for Yoga and Tai Chi classes

  • Casual class (one or one and a quarter hour) $15 allows you to come along and see if you like the class before enrolling for the term.
  • Term fees $10 per class paid in advance to enroll, (price changes each term according to term length)Yoga term pass for General Classes gives you the ability to attend Yoga Beginner’s classes for free, depending on availability
  • Beginner’s Yoga Classes run in 8 week blocks and cost $120- see above for start dates of courses.
  • Parent & Baby Yoga Classes are by drop in and cost $10 per class
  • Sunrise Yoga Class costs $10 or $15 including a simple breakfast
  • Private Classes- please contact us to arrange
  • All Yoga classes at Club Physical cost $20 casual, 10 pass $149.99, FREE for Club Physical Members

Yoga Beginner’s Class

These run in 8 week modules and the course costs $120, once you have paid for your beginner’s class you can come back as many times as you want within that year to repeat the module until you feel confident enough to join a general class and as a higher level student you are always welcome at the beginner’s class for free if you have a term pass (please note this depends on availability of space as priority will be given to students who are first time students paying for the course)

Yoga General Class

After you have completed a beginner’s course you may move up to a general class if you wish. This class is designed for intermediate level students upwards. You can come as a casual student or sign up for a term (which gives you a discount on classes and the ability to attend beginner’s classes for free). Each term we have a general focus that we work towards to learn more in depth practices so signing up for the term helps you to make the commitment to attend classes on a regular basis and to improve your Yoga more quickly.

Parent and Baby Yoga

Bring your baby with you to this drop in class and do some Yoga designed for people with young babies who need to bring their children with them to class (post-partum mothers please wait for twelve weeks after birth before attending this class). Don’t want to bring your child to Yoga? Club Physical provides a kids club for Tuesday 9.30am class whaich costs $5 or is free to Club Physical members.

Sunrise Practice

This practice is suitable for experienced students who know how to do a Sun Salutation sequence. Wake up with the birds at sunrise by practicing a Sun Salutation flow sequence on top of a hill in Arkles Bay. The class is outside so you will be doing your practice in the elements (sun, rain or wind) on a grass lawn. This class is $10 or $15 including a simple breakfast of muesli or porridge and tea afterwards and runs all year round. Please note you will need to park on the street and walk in to the Yoga site up a steep hill. You will need all your own Yoga equipment. Please text the night before so that we can include you in the breakfast plan. Contact us here to book

Tai Chi + Qigong

Taught by an expert who has trained to black belt level in several martial arts, Tai Chi and Qigong these classes focus on technique and the ability to use Tai Chi to enhance your health, fitness, balance and flexibility.
