Day 37 of 365 Days to Get Back to Myself

Yes I am back from my Yoga teacher training weekend but more about that later.

As I am doing a detox (I’m now over one month into it) I have been looking at different information on when it is the best time of day to eat to increase energy and help with weight loss.

I am always fascinated that there are so many different opinions on the subject of what, when, how and why you should or shouldn’t eat certain things. There is so much information and there are so many conflicting opinions. One day something is bad for you and another day it is good for you.

I liked this article by Dr Mercola because it totally challenged anything I have read before about the subject of breakfast. I am not saying that I think this is true (or not), or whether I like (or dislike) this article. I think it is very interesting and I will definitely be looking into this deeper to see what more information I can find before I make up my mind about it.

Apparently Dr Mercola has sufficiently annoyed someone with his outlandish opinions that they have gone to the trouble of writing a very scathing Wikipedia article on him. Personally I like people who are willing to risk the consequences of going against popular opinion (Dr Mercola and his anonymous detractor alike). After all, it really is a matter of opinion that underlies all our belief structures, we tend to choose facts that tie in with our personal beliefs and dismiss facts that do not.  This is all part of our human nature.

Anyway, to breakfast or not to breakfast this is the question..what do you think?
